Privacy Policy

How Amula handles information when you use the mobile application, this website, or contact support.

Last updated: 21 August 2026

1. Who we are and what this policy covers

Cheniteli OÜ (Estonian registry code 17077395), trading as Amula, is the data controller for the Amula mobile application and amula.app. Our registered address is Tartu mnt 67/1-13b, 10115 Tallinn, Estonia. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to info@amula.app or through the Contact page.

This policy covers information processed when you use the Android app, visit this website, submit the website contact form, or contact support. The data categories below are aligned with the current public Google Play Data Safety declaration for package com.amula.

Amula is designed as a reflective lifestyle experience. Its symbolic messages and creative outputs are for reflection and entertainment and are not professional advice.

2. Information we process

  • Personal and account information: name and other profile information; optional email address and user or account identifiers; authentication status, preferences, and personal context such as date, time, or place of birth.
  • Optional location: approximate and precise location when you choose to provide it or permit a feature to use it. Location is used for app functionality and personalization.
  • Content you submit: optional photos, messages, prompts, and other user-generated content you intentionally provide, including a coffee cup image used for Coffee Fortune.
  • App activity: feature interactions, settings, saved results, app state, and related activity used for app functionality, analytics, and advertising or marketing measurement.
  • Device and diagnostics: device or other identifiers, device type, operating-system details, crash logs, diagnostics, and performance information used for analytics, reliability, fraud prevention, security, and compliance.
  • Purchases: optional purchase history, subscription, or access status received from Google Play or another applicable store. Payment-card details are handled by the store and are not provided to Amula.
  • Website and support information: the email address and message you submit. Formspree also processes submission metadata such as IP address, browser type, access time, and referring page to deliver and secure the form.

4. Creative and uploaded content

Submitted images and text are used to produce the feature or support response you request. Creative outputs can include symbolic text, images, or interpretations. They should not be treated as factual predictions or professional guidance.

If submitted content or generated results are saved to your account, you can request their deletion as described in our Data Deletion page.

5. Advertising, Premium, and quanta

Some versions of Amula may offer optional rewarded ads. Choosing to view a rewarded ad can grant an in-app benefit such as quanta. Quanta are an app feature, not money, cryptocurrency, or a transferable asset.

The Android Data Safety declaration reports that app interactions and device or other identifiers may be collected and shared for advertising or marketing purposes. Declining a rewarded ad avoids starting that optional placement but does not necessarily stop processing used for app analytics, security, fraud prevention, or compliance. See the Advertising Policy.

6. Sharing and service providers

The current Android Data Safety declaration reports sharing these categories with other companies or organizations:

  • app interactions for analytics and advertising or marketing;
  • device or other identifiers for analytics, advertising or marketing, fraud prevention, security, and compliance; and
  • crash logs and diagnostics for analytics, fraud prevention, security, and compliance.

Recipients may include contracted providers supporting analytics, advertising, diagnostics, security, hosting, storage, authentication, notifications, creative features, and customer support. They may process only the information needed for their role and are expected to protect it under applicable contracts and law.

Google independently processes Play accounts, downloads, purchases, and device-level choices under its own terms. Formspree, Inc. processes website contact submissions and associated technical metadata. Public space-weather information displayed by Cosmic Weather comes from NOAA SWPC; Amula is not affiliated with or endorsed by NOAA.

7. International transfers

Some providers process information outside Estonia or the European Economic Area. Where GDPR transfer rules apply, we use an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful safeguard. Formspree hosts its service in the United States and states that it relies on Standard Contractual Clauses as a processor. You can contact us for information about applicable safeguards.

8. Retention and deletion

Account, profile, saved content, and account-linked history are kept while needed to provide the account and are deleted or de-identified after account deletion unless a limited record is required for security, dispute handling, or law. Diagnostic and advertising records follow the configured retention periods of the relevant service and are kept only while needed for the declared purpose. Purchase records controlled by Google follow Google's retention rules; records held by Cheniteli OÜ may be kept for legally required accounting or dispute periods. Support submissions are kept only while needed to answer and document the request or meet a related legal obligation.

You can remove your account through Profile in the app or follow the instructions at Account Removal. Additional details are available at Data Deletion.

9. Security

The Android Data Safety declaration states that data is encrypted in transit. We also use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

10. Children

Amula is not directed to children below the minimum age required in their region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child who cannot legally consent. If you believe this has occurred, please contact us so we can review and remove the information where appropriate.

11. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You may also have the right to complain to a data-protection authority.

Use the app’s Profile controls, email info@amula.app, or contact Amula to make a request. We may need to verify account ownership before responding. We normally respond within one month where GDPR applies.

You may complain to the supervisory authority where you live or work. Cheniteli OÜ's lead authority is the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate.

12. Automated decisions

Amula's symbolic and creative outputs do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you. They are generated for reflection and entertainment.

13. Cookies and website data

The current website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The contact form sends information only after you choose to submit it. See the Cookie Policy for details.

14. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when features, legal requirements, or data practices change. The date at the top identifies the current version. For questions or privacy requests, use the Contact page or the support channel in the app-store listing.
